AssessKit is fire risk assessment software designed for solo and small-firm fire risk assessors in England and Wales. It replaces Word templates and spreadsheets with a structured PAS 79-1:2020 and BS 9792:2025 workflow, professional PDF report generation, and client portfolio management.
Who it's for
Self-employed fire risk assessors and small fire safety consultancies (1-5 people) who carry out fire risk assessments under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Assessors who currently use Word templates and spend more time formatting reports than conducting assessments.
Why it exists
Fire risk assessors lose 2-4 hours per report on formatting alone. Existing software either costs over £100/month, hides behind demo walls, or lacks critical features like action tracking and review scheduling. We identified this gap through analysis of the UK fire safety market and built a tool that addresses it directly.
